The "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date was allegedly leaked online before Rockstar's announcement about the game.
According to the report by Cyberland, Rockstar allegedly set the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date to be October 2016 and it is going to stay that way should the development of the game go smoothly.
"My source says that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for GTAV and they are going to focus on RDR2 now. Rockstar expects the game to be out by October next year as long as the devs doesn't hit any road blocks during development", wrote Cyberland.
The report by Cyberland follows the report of CrossMap who claimed that a Rockstar developer confirmed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in development right now and that fans should expect news about the game soon.
"A senior developer in Rockstar named 'Feinstein' said that the company is already working on 'Red Dead Redemption 2'...Following Rockstar's recent statements released on their 'Asked & Answered' post in their website, the company said they are happy about people's great anticipation for 'Red Dead Redemption 2' and have asked fans to 'stay tuned' for something that will happen by 2015," wrote CrossMap.
It should be noted that Rockstar San Diego, the dev team behind "Red Dead Redemption" and "Red Dead Revolver", is looking for applicants for various positions for the development of their future games for the PS4, Xbox One and PC and it is reported that the game that they are reportedly developing now is "Red Dead Redemption 2".
