Someone's leaving "Gotham" by Season 2 as spoilers reveal that Jada Pinkett-Smith or Fish Mooney is leaving the series after its first season. The only question is if the character will be killed off or not.
Fish Mooney's character is known to "Gotham" fans to be rather feisty, power-hungry and would literally do anything just to get advantage, which was why most of them were shocked to find out the plot developments.
In an interview with "Live with Kelly and Michael" the actress revealed that the viewers might see the last of Fish Mooney in Season 1.
"We're done, I did my year and I had a good time. the show is gonna have an awesome finale," she said.
"Gotham" spoilers from Classicalite teased that Fish Mooney might die at the season finale.
"Well, it's not quite over yet but we'll see if Fish survives the season. It's a little tense from here on out, that's for sure. It's a little rough on Fish from here on out," Jada Pinkett-Smith said.
Fish Mooney was operating very largely during the first few episodes of the show until her character ran afoul of the Don. That's when things started to change for her character. Just recently, she gouged her own eyeball using a teaspoon because she was ordered by the "Dollmaker" and it was replaced by an orb.
This was such a gruesome scene but it just made fans realize that Mooney's losing it even as she tried to hold on to whatever advantage she has over her enemies.
The question remains for "Gotham" fans, how are they going to let Fish Mooney go? Will she die? Will she be sent somewhere else?
The show's producers released a statement following Smith's confirmation that she's leaving the show after this season saying that "Fish Mooney's storyline takes a lot of interesting twists and turns into the finale of season one of 'Gotham.'"
It may be difficult to see her go since she has already played a huge part and managed to capture the viewer's hearts with her feisty and never-say-die attitude. Nevertheless, it's also nice to know that there's going to be an awesome twist and shocking finale that would make everything worth it.
