Looks like good news for gamers as the ace Japanese video-game developer Square Enix is asking fans what game it should make next.
Japanese video-game developer, publisher and distribution company, Square Enix has been seemingly unconcerned about, or rather ignoring, its fan demands and making the game it wants to make. To top it all, the company is making games no one really wants to play.
GamingBolt noted that the company made three "Final Fantasy XIII" games, and the first one was widely considered the worst entry in the series. In what seems to be an attempt to correct this, Square Enix is asking fans what games they want it to make.
Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. is best known for its role-playing video games franchises including, the "Dragon Quest" series and the "Kingdom Hearts" action RPG series beside "Final Fantasy" series.
According to IGN, the Japanese game developer has launched a survey asking for all sorts of info from its fans. The survey starts with usual set of questions such as age, gender, social media networks used, country and video game console they own. The survey then asks if they watch any eSports. While many would expect fans to request Square Enix to port the "Kingdom Heart 3" for PC, according to AutooMobile, surprisingly a lot of fans in fact don't want the game for PC citing the fact that it would not be as fun to play with a keyboard and mouse.
Arcade Sushi noted that the survey asks gamers what games they still play from a given Square Enix games list. Among the likes of "Bravely Default," "Tomb Raider," and "Sleeping Dogs," the sole non-modern "Final Fantasy" game on the list is "FFVII." The second last question checks how familiar the survey takers are with game franchises such as "Chrono Trigger," "Deus Ex," "Dragon Quest" among others. The final question in the survey requires the survey takers to choose their favorite from a list of game series that include "Chrono Trigger," "Tomb Raider," "Hitman," and "Legacy of Kain" among others.
Is this an indication that Squar Enix is considering the idea of a new entry of the "Chrono Trigger" series?
Fans can enter their email at the end of the questionnaire for a chance to win a $100 Square Enix gift card.
