"Twilight" actress Nikki Reed has brought sunshine to a charity event, not only for her winning smile but also for her bright gold dress.

Ian Somerhalder's fiancee attended the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction in New York on Tuesday.

"The Twilight star was a sight to behold, showing off her toned legs in an elegant gold frock featuring an exotic floral design," Daily Mail said. "The ornate mini-dress included a conservative neckline and half-length sleeves, and contrasted with her bubble-gum pink lipstick and matching pumps."

She later posed at the red carpet while holding a giant chocolate bunny from chocolatier Lindt.

Nikki Reed, who recently got engaged to "Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder, wasn't the only celebrity who attended the charity event. Paparazzi also found Scarlett Johansson, Kelly Clarkson, Anna Faris, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Susan Sarandon and Lauren Conrad.

Nikki Reed and fiance Ian Somerhalder are known for their many advocacies, from animal and human rights to environmental protection.

A week ago, she posted an Instagram photo of a beagle who was rescued from animal testing. She captioned the image, "Standing in front of The Capitol before I testify with Emma, a survivor from a San Francisco testing facility. The holes in her ears are a testament to the horror she endured. #AB147 @beaglefreedom."

In another photo, she pleaded, "HELP! I need you guys! We have one hour before the hearing. Please call and encourage Assembly members Evan Low at 9163192028 and Jacqui Irwin at 9163192044 to support this legislation. YES to AB147 supporting the right for cats and dogs to be adopted after they've been tested on."

Nikki Reed was recently recognized for her work with the Wildlife Waystation and the Ian Somerhalder Foundation during the annual Noble Awards.

"I wish I could take credit for it. I'm being acknowledged tonight for the work I did, but I can't take credit for it. Most of it is my mother. I have a mother who brought me up with the understanding that everything deserves a home and love and food and shelter," Ian Somerhalder's fiancee said during her speech.
