Fans of "The Bachelorette" were surprised to hear the spoilers announced by the show producers for the season 11 of the hit reality series. On the "After the Final Rose" special, a new twist was introduced that would definitely change the show's dynamic. Keep on reading to know more about it.
What makes "The Bachelorette" Season 11 special is there would be two girls in the running this time.
"Here's the thing; we actually decided not to decided, we're going to have two Bachelorettes. It is going to be Britt and Kaitlyn. The 25 men on Night 1 are going to have the ultimate say about who they think would make the best wife," says Chris Harrison.
According to Latin Post, the producers had a really tough time deciding who among the former "The Bachelor" contestants would make the cut. In the end, they decided to go with both women since they are both fan favorites, after all.
Britt and Kaitlyn had different reactions with the surprise twist in "The Bachelorette" season 11. No surprise there! Fans of the lovely women even took to Twitter to voice out their disappointment with the spoiler.
"I'm super grateful, I think it's an amazing opportunity, its' more than I can comprehend, I'm still having trouble processing it, but I love Kaitlyn, so we'll see how it goes," says Britt.
While Britt seems to be content to be back in the reality dates as a bachelorette, Kaitlyn was not at all thrilled.
"What went through my mind was, that's not ideal! Nothing against you [Britt] but... if that's what it takes to find somebody, [I'm in]."
An insider from Us Weekly added that although both girls were surprised with the twist, Britt and Kaitlyn were just happy to be given another shot at love.
"Clearly they both wanted to be the next Bachelorette, so they're happy with sharing the role rather than not having it at all."
Although the exact mechanics for "The Bachelorette” season 11 has yet to be revealed, fans can look at the 2004 season of “The Bachelor” for spoilers.
During “The Bachelor” Season 6, two men got the role, and the premiere has surprised contestants with a “Lady’s Choice Ceremony”, where 25 women is set to choose who they want to pursue a relationship with. The ladies didn’t know that there were two men competing, and though not meeting personally, these two contestants knew that they were competing with each other.
The twist here, however, is that in “The Bachelorette,” the girls have met and knew each other already, which would definitely lead to a feud between both girls.
"The Bachelorette" Season 11 premieres Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 19. Stay tuned.
