The cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been through quite a few changes.
Now, the popular Bravo reality television show may be ready for a fresh new cast to bring viewers back.
Wife of footballer Tiki Barber, Traci Lynn Barber, has reportedly been rumored to become a part of RHONJ, possibly even replacing Teresa Giudice, who is serving time in prison.
"Yes, the rumor is true. Traci is down the road with the production company. She and Tiki moved to NJ a few years ago," a source told E! News.
The insider continued, “They are next door neighbors with Snooki."
Traci Barber has reportedly been on the producers’ minds as a step to changing RHONJ.
"When producers approached Traci, they told her they were revamping the show," a source stated.
The insider added, “Their goal is to include more well-known names and make New Jersey look more glamorous, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
Although it has yet to be confirmed whether RHONJ would be continuing without Teresa Giudice, producers are reportedly “quietly preparing” for a new season without the original cast member, according to the NY Daily News.
“They don’t know where it stands with Teresa going the show or when she’s getting out,” stated a source.
The insider added, “So they’re prepping for either way. Anyway, they need to shake up the cast — last season’s cast was terrible.”
Along with the cast members, the entire direction of the show may be ready for a change.
“The focus isn't going to be on Teresa and her family's legal troubles. It's time for a fresh start. More fun and more glam,” a source told E! News.
