Former Playboy bunny Holly Madison is releasing a memoir on June 23, according to People.
In the memoir, which is titled “Down the Rabbit Hole,” Madison will reportedly open up about her life as a Playboy bunny, which was not what she, or anyone else, had expected it to be.
“What seemed like a fairy tale life inside the Playboy Mansion – including A-list celebrity parties and her own No. 1-rated television show for four years – quickly devolved into an oppressive routine of strict rules, manipulation and battles with ambitious, backstabbing bunnies," read a press release for the upcoming memoir.
Madison reveals in her memoir that her time at the Playboy mansion was actually “a nightmare,” according to InTouchWeekly.
“After losing her identity, her sense of self-worth, and her hope for the future, Holly found herself sitting alone in a bathtub contemplating suicide,” read the book’s promotional material.
Madison gained fame along with fellow bunnies Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson as Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends on the E! reality series, “The Girls Next Door,” which ran for five season.
Madison’s life is completely different now. She is reportedly married to live events entrepreneur Pasquale Rotella and is the mother to a young daughter, Rainbow Aurora.
“I’m excited to finally share my story and what I’ve learned from my personal experience both inside and outside of the Playboy Mansion,” Madison stated.
She added, “I think my stories will surprise people and I’m looking forward to lifting the veil of mystique and learning up the misconceptions so often associated with my life.”
