The latest episode of "The Night Shift" dealt with critical medical cases of the following: a skydiver, an electrocuted janitor and a college student. Then there was the emotional scene between Rick and Drew. The crew really did went through such a tough time in this episode and Rick got the biggest blow of all.

TC, Joey and Gwen worked together to save the life of a skydiver who suffered a near-fatal crash, the patient's girlfriend was there and during surgery, the doctors told her that her boyfriend had a serious complication. Then TC, Topher and Ragosa worked on an electrocuted janitor in the ER while his whole family was around him. Suddenly, the janitor's family all came down with life-threatening symptoms and they all worked overtime to save each and everyone of them.

A college student who came in to the ER who claims to have a mild fever was given more serious medical attention when they found out the real cause behind the fever, according to the recap of "The Night Shift" season 2.

Meanwhile, Drew came in the ER because he fell while trying to switch the light bulb at home. He didn't want Rick to know that he was there but he found out, anyway. They got to talking at the hospital and told each other that they love each other.

Drew told Rick that he is a different person now and he couldn't do what he normally used to do because of his missing leg. He doesn't feel the same anymore. Rick was very understanding of this and told him that it takes time to adapt to it but he will eventually. However, Drew surprisingly told him that he's moving out.
