"Wet Hot American Summer" is coming to Netflix as the network has ordered an 8-part series and the entire cast is back! A lot of people are so excited to know more about the show but only a few details have been revealed. But thanks to John Slattery, fans were given some juicy and exciting news.
Slattery will be joined by other original cast members in the hit comedy film such as Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, Jason Scwartzman, Josh Charles, Paul Scheer and Richard Schiff.
During a press interview for "Mad Men's" final season, Slattery dished out some details about his character on "Wet Hot American Summer".
"Claude Dumet is a theater director. I'm trying to think, what can I tell you? I'll give it away. I'm a theater director who comes to direct a camp production," he told Craving Entertainment.
"I didn't realize how many of those people I knew! From Chris Meloni to Paul (Rudd), Amy (Poehler}, Bradley (Cooper), Zak Orth - I've known all those people over the years," he added.
Slattery wasn't apart of the original "Wet Hot American Summer" movie but he was so thrilled that its original cast members are on board to do the series. He held that it was a dream come true to be part of the series to be released on Netflix.
With that being said, it's good to know that viewers will get to see Jon Benjamin again as the talking can of vegetables because there's going to be the "play" that we've seen in the original Wain film.
Details of the "Wet Hot American Summer's" series is still being kept under wraps but based on the cast alone, it's definitely a series worth keeping an eye out for.
"Wet Hot American Summer" series premieres on July 17 on Netflix.
