The wife of Benedict Cumberbatch, Sophie Hunter, looked positively radiant in a Valentino wedding dress, which complemented her baby bump.
In an Instagram post, Maison Valentino shared a photo of Sophie Hunter being prepared by a team of designers.
The image was captioned, "Beautiful Sophie Hunter with Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli prepping her couture dress for her March wedding to Benedict Cumberbatch. #magicmoment #sophiehunter #benedictcumberbatch photographed by #AnnieLeibovitz for @voguemagazine."
One fan noted, "Wow! She's always so beautifully dressed. Wonderful wedding gown."
Another said, "She looks so pretty in her (wedding) dress and her baby bump."
Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter got married on Valentine's Day in the Isle of Wight, England.
The dress was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, both creative directors for Valentinio.
"The lace fabric, in a silvery-grey, was inspired by a William Morris Arts and Crafts textile print, which Hunter showed the designers as her reference alongside William Blake watercolours and a Cecil Beaton portrait of Lady Lucinda Lambton as a bride in 1965. Hunter's initial conversation with Chiuri and Piccioli was in Rome and took three hours," said Vogue.
"Hunter also wore a velvet cape (remember it was winter in England) and custom-made Manolo Blahnik shoes. Her 'something blue' was her sapphire 18th century-inspired Tiffany & Co. engagement ring," the article added.
According to the magazine, Sophie Hunter's bridal gown took three months to finish, or about half of the usual time a Valentino dress is delivered to a client.
In the accompanying interview in the cover photo, Benedict Cumberbatch's wife Sophie Hunter said, "It feels very much of nature, and it's so detailed and extraordinary that I'm still trying to get my head around how beautiful it is."
Daily Mail reported the rumor that Ann Wintour's influence allowed Sophie Hunter to get a Valentino dress for the wedding to Benedict Cumberbatch.
