A smiling Perrie Edwards stepped out of the London flat that she shares with Zayn Malik unmindful of the hateful tag by One Direction fans who called her Yoko Ono.
Yoko Ono was, for a long time, blamed why John Lennon left The Beatles.
The Little Mix star also flashed the ring that the One Direction hottie gave her, which showed that the wedding between Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik is still very much on even after the alleged cheating scandal.
"Perrie, 21, has yet to comment on the matter of her partner's huge career decision, but her smile showed off exactly how she felt, despite the fact fans of the boy band on Twitter had labelled her 'the Yoko Ono of 1D' after blaming his departure," said Daily Mail.
Zayn Malik's girlfriend received online backlash after she was blamed for the 22-year-old leaving the band.
One fan even tweeted, which was picked up by media outlets, "'PERRIE EDWARDS IS THE YOKO ONO OF ONE DIRECTION."
Others were also calling for her to make the same sacrifice as Zayn Malik and quit Little Mix, if she really wants them to lead normal lives together.
Explaining his decision to quit One Direction, Zayn Malik said in a statement, "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."
Now that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards' engagement appears to be safe, will they schedule their wedding next? Previously a source told Closer magazine that the former One Direction hottie has allegedly asked the Little Mix singer to get married this year.
