"Girl Meets World" just wrapped up its first season and its finale left fans wanting for more. The Disney Channel series ended with Riley and Lucas taking their relationship further and sharing a romantic kiss. Season 2 spoilers revealed that fans can expect more exciting twists and turns in the forthcoming episodes.

Spoilers from Fashion and Style revealed that fans of "Girl Meets World" can look forward to more episodes dedicated to Lucas and Riley's relationship in season 2.

Speaking to NKD magazine, Peyton Meyer, who plays Lucas, said that his character's relationship with Riley (Rowan Blanchard) took a bit of time to blossom.

"I feel like Cory and Topanga were kind of an immediate love relationship, whereas Lucas' and Riley's relationship is more of a friendship building into a love relationship."

Meyer also spoke about his expectations for "Girl Meets World" season 2.

"I read a lot about 'Boy Meets World' before we started filming, and I knew that it was a big deal because my oldest brother, who's seven years older, grew up watching 'Boy Meets World'. I knew exactly what this was going to be. I knew all the 'Boy Meets World' fans were going to love it and have faith in the new show."

According to spoilers from Carter Matt, fans of "Girl Meets World" might have to wait a bit longer before the season 2 premiere. Disney have yet to confirm when the season will premiere and by the looks of it, the series might be going on a long hiatus.

For fans who are eagerly awaiting the return of "Girl Meets World," it was rumored that the season 2 premiere will feature William Daniels as Mr. Feeny. Daniels will also be returning in the following episode titled, "Girl Meets Pluto."
