Good news gaming fans as new updates for Capcom's new Street Fighter sequel, "Street Fighter 5" have been revealed regarding its release date, and new characters joining the roster.

According to Hadouken.net, an anonymous insider claiming to be working for Capcom revealed that "Street Fighter 5's" roster will be consisting of 14 characters during its launch date.

The insider adds that one DLC character will be included in the game as Capcom plans to offer “Seasonal Updates” for four months similar to "Killer Instinct" adding more characters through paid DLC.

Here are the list of characters that are joining "Street Fighter 5".

- Ryu
- Chun Li
- Nash
- Alex
- Urien
- Dudley
- Elena
- M. Bison
- Hugo
- Poison
- Abel
- C. Viper
- Kuan (New character)
- Sherry (New character)
- Akuma (Day 1 DLC character)

According to the website, Kuan is a 40-year old scientist working for M. Bison. He was born in Vietnam and was a former soldier in the Vietnamese army. He single-handedly killed dozens of Bison’s soldiers to prove his worth, and is responsible for turning Nash into a brainwashed android. During combat he uses drugs to enhance his strength in all of his three fighting styles.

As for Sherry, she hails from Australia and her story involves Kuan as she believes he's responsible for her mothers disappearance. The source described her look as having "skimpy clothes, consisting of ripped jean shorts, an open vest and a tube top under it, and various accessories."

Her fighting style is mostly rushdown oriented, and has shades of characters like Fei Long and Cammy.

Hadouken further adds that the first Seasonal Update will add two more playable characters, TWELVE-V2 and a new male character named Cliff.

Aside from the leaked character roster, rumors are making rounds that the release date of "Street Fighter 5" has been revealed.

Venture Capital Post reportedly claimed that Street Fighter 5" will launch on March 31, 2016, and it will cost around $59.96 for the PlayStation 4 and for the PC.

Capcom has announced that a beta test for "Street Fighter 5" will soon be taking place and its predicted to be the largest and the most ambitious in the game's history

The PlayStation Blog further adds that pre-order customers will receive access to the online beta program immediately, although, Capcom has not yet announced further details regarding beta test launch date announcement.
