Although Fox's "The Mindy Project" is not a perfect show, it still manages to captivate numerous fans with its wit and charm. However, the romantic comedy, which stars Mindy Kaling of "The Office" fame, has been garnering low ratings for quite some time.

Fellow Fox show "New Girl" has been renewed for its next season, but FOX has remained secretive about whether or not "The Mindy Project" will be cancelled or renewed for another season. This has left fans worried that this new development will spell the end for the sitcom.

Fox CEO Dana Walden has been very vocal about her support of the show. She said that she is hopeful that the show will be renewed for its fourth season. However, on March 25, 2015, "The Mindy Project" lead actress Mindy Kaling has hinted about her show moving to another network if Fox decides to cancel the show.

"[Mindy Kaling] remains confident that 'The Mindy Project' will continue to tell many more stories and is up for the challenge of going nine seasons ala 'The Office,'" said Renew Cancel TV.

According to Bustle, there are seven reasons why "The Mindy Project" should not be cancelled, and instead get renewed for season 4.

These are: last season's finale ended on a cliffhanger; there will always be more guest stars on the show; there are plans to introduce Mindy's parents; Mindy has undeniable star power; there has been a lot of interest on the show's pregnancy storyline; the show is not afraid to take risks; and they have proven that brining the romantic leads of the show (Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castellano) always works.

As of now, it still remains unclear if "The Mandy Project" will be renewed for another season, or cancelled and moved to another network. Both fans and cast members of the show are hopeful that it will continue on no matter the circumstance of how it is resumed.
