The Oxygen operating system for OnePlus One is officially available and can be downloaded by OnePlus One users.
OnePlus Forums user Brandon H. wrote that OxygenOS is officially available.
"Many of you around the world are off work today for a long weekend, we hope to make your vacation even better, because OxygenOS is finally here," he wrote.
According to the blog post released by OnePlus, due to the feedback they received, they built the One and were changing things for the better.
"Now, it's time to take the next step. By creating our own operating system, we can quickly respond to user feedback and make it easier for you to continue playing a fundamental role in the future of OnePlus," said the firm.
"Our goal for OxygenOS is to provide faster, more meaningful updates and a better-integrated range of services for every OnePlus user," it added.
According to the OnePlus official website, OxygenOS has several original OnePlus features that have been built right into it, such as the screen-off gesture to double-tap to wake, shortcuts for the flashlight and camera and more accessible music controls. It also has a new quick settings feature, where tiles can be added, removed and re-organized with just a click of a button.
As for customization, the OxygenOS allows the users to make their phone unique, as it has a customizable lockscreen wallpaper and the ability to switch between hardware and software navigation keys.
The OxygenOS was initially scheduled for March 27, but it did not meet the deadline. It has been reported that it was because of problems with Google certification.
