Spike TV has now turned the popular segment on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" into a TV series. The "Lip Sync Battle" premiered on April 2, 2015 and its first episode featured Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson taking on Jimmy Fallon in two rounds of lip sync battles.
Fans of the "Lip Sync Battle" were pleasantly surprised when it was announced that the Jimmy Fallon segment has been picked up by Spike TV. In its pilot episode, Dwayne Johnson easily took the first round with his spirited rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off." The second round was a little bit more even. It featured Fallon performing Madonna's "Like A Prayer" complete with a full backing choir while The Rock performed his rendition of The Bee Gees' "Staying Alive."

In the first lip sync battle of the second episode, Common and John Legend pitted Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" against Juvenile's "Slow Motion." In the second round, Common took the stage, dressed from head to toe like Lionel Richie, with his version of "All Night Long (All Night)." Not to be outdone, John Legend gave his rendition of MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" complete with the iconic parachute pants. Needless to say, the audience, and even the hosts, loved their performances and the effort they put into them.
