"Mob Wives" star Angela "Big Ang" Raiola has been diagnosed with throat cancer. It was reported on several online channels that a tumor the size of a lemon was found in the throat of the 51-year-old reality TV star.

According to Enstarz, doctors believe that the cancer had developed due to Big Ang's 40 years of smoking. It was also said that the "Mob Wives" reality star had already lost her ability to talk.

Big Ang complained of experiencing throat pains for the past week. It is unclear what stage her cancer is, or whether it has spread to other parts of her body. Despite all this, doctors say that the situation looks positive. The surgery for her throat is scheduled for next week.

The "Mob Wives" star, herself, announced her situation and stated that the cancer had been caught early. Many of her fellow "Mob Wives" co-stars have expressed their support for Big Ang, saying that she can pull through this tough time in her life. They have also held events in order to show their support for their friend.

Big Ang reassured her fans by posting a message on Facebook.

"Big Ang isn't going anywhere! This is a minor setback, but I promise you this... I already have some BIG things in the world and will be returning to your TVs very soon," she said.

She also told her fans of the importance of taking care of their physical wellbeing.

"Always look after yourselves and don’t neglect your health. I’m fortunate and blessed to have discovered something very early, and handle it in a positive manner. I thank you and I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Stay posted in the coming days, I will give you all updates."

It is still unknown how this will affect her role on the show "Mob Wives."
