Lana Del Rey and James Franco have been giving off will-they-won’t-they vibes out into the world for some time now.
To the dismay of fans of the “Young and Beautiful” singer and the “Spiderman” actor, the relationship between the two is strictly platonic.
When clarifying his relationship with Lana Del Rey, Franco had previously mentioned that it’s her music that he’s attracted to, not so much the singer herself.
“When I watch her stuff, when I listen to her stuff, I am reminded of everything I love about Los Angeles. I am sucked into a long gallery of Los Angeles cult figurines, and cult people, up all night like vampires and bikers,” explained Franco, according to The Inquisitr.
He continued, “The only difference between Lana and me is her haunting voice. That carries everything. The voice is the central axle around which the spokes of everything else extend.”
Another reason Lana Del Rey and James Franco’s relationship remains at “just friends”? The “Summertime Sadness” singer is currently in a relationship with Francesco Carrozzini, according to the U.K’s Daily Mail.
During an interview with Howard Stern, Franco confirmed that he hasn’t even “hooked up” with the sultry singer.
“No,” stated Franco.
He added, “On my life.”
Franco didn’t stop there.
“I’ll tell you why, maybe it’s a boring answer,” stated “The Interview” star.
He continued, “There’s a weird thing with creative types. Sometimes I love a person’s work and, like, I’m just so enamored with that and their persona in their work. But outside of that, it’s like, our dynamic is we’re just kind of friends, we get along so well. But all this sexual attraction is for the person and the work.”
