Andy Murray and Kim Sears' wedding will be limited to family and close friends, and that means no A-list celebrities at the ceremony.

The world's third-best player, behind Novac Djokovic and Roger Federer, confirmed the report himself as he claimed that he doesn't have any "celebrity friends."

"There won't be any celebrities as such," he told the Express. "I don't have any celebrity friends so it wasn't something that was planned."

For Andy Murray's wedding to Kim Sears, the invited guests would be "everyone who we're close to, people we've spent a lot of time with in the past but also people we see ourselves spending time with in the future."

"That's how we came up with the names," he added. "Pretty much everything is done now and under control. I'm sure a few things will come up next week but it's pretty much sorted."

As for the wedding preparations, Andy Murray said that his fiancée Kim Sears is pretty much doing everything.

"I've tried to help out when she has asked, but I haven't been over-involved. I did all the food and cake tasting which I really enjoyed, although I didn't think I was going to. It's a big day for Kim. Pretty much everything is taken care of now. She seems fairly relaxed but as we get closer that might change," he added.

Andy Murray and Kim Sears' wedding will be held at the Dunblane Cathedral on Saturday. The reception will be held at the luxury hotel the tennis pro owns. The couple has been engaged for about a decade now.

"Andy will have the chance to give something back to the community that has been so supportive over the years, and is expected to greet well-wishers after the ceremony as he and Kim make their way to the Cromlix House Hotel for the reception," reported Hello! Magazine.
