The status of the show "Castle" is currently in question as fans eagerly await news on whether or not the show will be cancelled or renewed for season 8. "Castle" will return after its mid-season break on April 20 with the 20th episode of its seventh season.

According to "Castle" season 7 spoilers from IB Times, once the hit series returns with new episodes for season 7, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) will face the "deadly consequences" of the book writer's two-month long disappearance mystery.

A new promotional video for the latest episode shows Castle and Beckett looking for answers in order to shed some light on the disappearance. The voice over in the video says that is "time to find out" the circumstances of Castle's disappearance. The promo also shows Castle speaking to someone as he ponders on his disappearance.

"Castle" season 7 spoilers also revealed that there are numerous guest stars that are set to feature upon the show's return. Matt Letscher is set to reprise his role as the fake Jenkins, while Mackenzie Astin, who features as Noah on NBC's "Scandal," and Michael Dorn of "Star Trek" fame are set to portray Phillip Bartlett and Dr. Carter Burke, respectively.

"A mysterious recurring dream drives Castle and Beckett to seek answers about the two-month period when he went missing. But their search for the truth has deadly consequences," the synopsis reads.

Jaleel White, who has previously guest starred on other crime-themed TV shows such as "Hawaii Five-O," "CSI," and "Psych," is set to play a "Saturday Night Live" star type of character on episode 22 of the "Scandal" season 7.

According to reports from TV Line, White's character is said to possess a tendency towards outrageous, and possibly homicidal behavior.
