Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal sparked dating rumors anew after they were spotted on a dinner date Odys + Penelope in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

"The 34-year-old actor and 36-year-old actress were subject to lots of romance rumors last year while they filmed their movie 'Southpaw.' They were seen dining out together last year during filming, and were even seen out dancing," Just Jared said.

Radar Online noted that Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams "seem to be having a good time together," regardless if the dinner was a romantic date or not.

"While Gyllenhaal has also been linked to Broadway costar Ruth Wilson, it appears he's now set his sites on the Notebook actress," it said. "The pair did not seem happy about being spotted, however."

"They carried on nonetheless, laughing and getting cozy over a bottle of wine," the tabloid reported.

But People magazine clarified that there's no truth to the rumors about Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams dating.

The source said, "They're friends and they were catching up."

After dropping to almost unhealthy levels for "Nightcrawler," Jake Gyllenhaal packed on the muscles to play Billy "The Great" Hope, a junior middleweight champion who lost everything because of a personal tragedy.

Director Antoine Fuqua told Deadline of Jake Gyllenhaal's transformation.

"Jake is going to change how people see him. I had him training twice a day in the boxing ring, he did two-a-days seven days a week. I pretty much had him with me and my trainer every day. I took him to almost every fight. I had him train at Floyd Mayweather's gym in Vegas and we watched Floyd's fights, and the Manny Pacquiao fight."

Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams were first reported to be dating after they were spotted at Pittsburgh eatery Meat and Potatoes in the middle of last year, said Us Weekly.
