A new trailer for "Pitch Perfect 2" has been released and it shows some of the international teams competing against the Barden Bellas.
According to Rappler, one of the international teams that will be seen on "Pitch Perfect 2" is the Fil-Am group called The Filharmonic. In an interview on the same site last year, The Filharmonic member Joe Caigoy has confirmed their appearance on the sequel.
"We can't say too much about our roles in the movie, but we will be one of the groups competing against the Bellas," said Caigoy. "We are all really excited to meet Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow. They were my favorite Bellas!"
In the trailer, the Barden Bellas have been confronted with some conflict, but were able to reconcile and return to perform on the world stage.
The trailer also features Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and more for the international acapella competition, according to Just Jared Jr.
Moreover, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are back on "Pitch Perfect 2" to reprise their roles. Also, the new trailer features Bigbang's K-Pop hit "Fantastic Baby."
"Fantastic Baby" was released in 2012 and it became a signature song for the group, with more than 143 million views on YouTube, cited Billboard.
In addition, KpopStarz reported some spoilers to "Pitch Perfect 2." According to the director of the film Elizabeth Banks revealed that "they hired real-life acapella groups" such as Filharmonic, Penn Masala, Pentatonix and more.
"I can confirm are all in the movie and they're amazing. They do all their own singing and dancing. It's all about authenticity in the acapella world," she said.
Meanwhile, the trailer has been released on Friday and it is due to be released in movie theaters in May 15.
