On April 24, AGB Nielsen Korea released the ratings for programming which aired on April 23. "The Girl Who Sees Smells," which is also referred to as "Sensory Couple" continued to remain in second place, with 8.3 of viewers. This was an increase from 8.1 which was recorded for episode 7 of "The Girl Who Sees Smells," which aired on April 22. The series, which stars JYJ's Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung, has continued a firm run in second place since episode 6.
"The Girl Who Sees Smells" is a compelling series, with excellent chemistry between Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung. Episodes 7 and 8 delivered several cute scenes including an adorable kiss, which helped to ease the tension created by the stunning cliffhanger of episode 6. However, the introduction of the serial killer and the use of Korea's nice guy-next-door Namgoong Min could be problematic in the run of the series. While "The Girl Who Sees Smells" is unique, concept of the friendly but monsterous killer was the plot device which dragged down "Jekyll, Hyde and I."
"Unkind Women" continues to lead the ratings war, as the melodrama spirals towards resolution for some of the series key characters. "Unkind Women" increased its ratings from 12.1 to 12.4 percent, demonstrating its dominance in Wednesday and Thursday primetime. Kim Chul Hee (Lee Soon Jae) regained his memory, after Jang Mo Ran (Jang Mi Hee) revealed the truth behind his accident. Kim Hyun Sook (Chae Shi Ra) received little comfort for the pain she received as a student and she continued to battle her high-school teacher, Na Hyun Ae (Seo Yi Sook). The series will continue its 24 episode run through May 14.
While "Unkind Women" and "The Girl Who Sees Smells," experienced an increase in ratings, "Angry Mom" dropped by a small percentage. "Angry Mom" placed third with 7.4, which was a decrease from its previous placement of 7.2 percent.
