The third day of filming for the filming of the drama "IRIS 2" has been revealed.
Ten o'clock is the hottest time for drama viewers. The dramas that begin airing at this time are constantly mentioned and discussed. Viewers laugh, cry and sympathize with the characters from the dramas. Dramas have been popular for a very long time and they still remain as one of the most popular things to watch on television.
For example, the new KBS drama "IRIS 2" that airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays has been in the spotlight even while it was still in the process of being developed. In 2009, "IRIS" season 1 became the most popular drama at the time with 39.9% viewing rate at its highest. "IRIS" set a new high for the level of action in Korean dramas.
"IRIS 2" came back with even more action and special effects compared to season 1. For dedicated viewers, 3 days of filming were documented to air on a TV show "Docu 3 Days." The documentary shows actual footages of the set of "IRIS 2."
It is a documentary that captures only 72 hours out of countless hours the dedicated cast and crew are putting into creating "IRIS 2."
On the day that the drama was scheduled to air for the very first time, everybody was in a state of emergency. The filming of the first episode had taken longer than they had expected because of the detailed production crew who all wanted to create a perfect episode without any flaws.
If they failed to produce the first episode in time for it to be aired, it would be a huge accident that would disappoint all the people who were patiently waiting. The cast and crew didn't waste 1 minute, 1 second. It was such an emergency the production crew called for Quick Service to deliver the first episode to the right place.
At the time the drama was scheduled to air, all cast and crew got together at a restaurant to watch the first episode together. All their efforts and sleeplessness could be felt in the atmosphere.
Lee Da Hae who plays one of the main characters stated, "I'm so nervous... it's so weird. It feels like it's my first time acting in my first drama. Why am I like this?" and showed her uneasy nerves. Im Soo Hyang also added, "I thought I would never be able to be on TV... but today's the day I'll be appearing on TV for the first time. It hasn't hit me. All the cast and crew worked so hard" and seemed to be drowned by emotions.
A single episode of any drama requires an incredible amount of work from hundreds of people, including actors as well as people behind the cameras, not to mention editors, computer graphic creators and more.
Each person plays a different role but they all hope for that the drama can be something viewers can relate to. They never complain of missing meals or sleepless nights since they are completely focused on creating the drama for their viewers. They keep moving forward regardless of how exhausted they are. The reason they can't escape this scene that resembles a war is because it is their life.
Pyo Min Soo PD stated, "Dramas are bittersweet. I mean that dramas resemble the reality. The lives featured in dramas are not too different from the life you're living. It will have an happy ending.
