Britney Spears fans rejoice! There's a mobile app game featuring the pop icon in the making.
After Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry, Britney Spears is next to star in her own mobile game. The app game developer responsible for "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," Glu Mobile (Glu Games) announced on April 29 that it would be soon developing a game featuring the 33-year-old pop star, Britney Spears.
Glu Games reported that it is teaming up with the Grammy Award-winning singer in developing a new game that will feature her voice and likeness.
Inquisitr noted that Spears will also have a creative say on the game's development. The app will be developed for smartphones and tablets.
The company says it signed a 5-year deal with Spears with the possibility of a 3-year extension.
"I am thrilled to add Grammy Award-winning legend Britney Spears to Glu's growing list of partners as we continue to expand our celebrity gaming platform," said Glu Chairman and CEO, Niccolo de Masi.
Masi further added that the company expects the title to resonate tremendously with Britney's nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers across the globe.
One of the leading developers and publishers of free-to-play mobile games, Glu Mobile Inc. is renowned for the highly addictive Dash games including Cooking Dash, Hotel Dash, Diner Dash, as well as Contract Killer and Deer Hunter games.
The company scored big with its "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" game. The time-management game made a whopping $1.6 million in its first five days on the market and is the fifth highest grossing app in Apple's virtual store history. Aimed at teenage girls, Kim's game allows players to create their own wannabe celebrity character who can join and interact with the "KUWTK" star in Hollywood, People noted.
Glu has also concluded negotiations with singer Katy Perry for her own mobile game. The game is anticipated to also include Perry's likeness and voice.
Britney's upcoming game, too, is expected to follow along the same lines, with players to not only able to interact with but also experience the glitzy side of the songstress. And no prizes for guessing, like its predecessor, Britney's game is expected to be a hit.
In March, Glu Mobile announced an app game starring Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Glu is aiming for the game's worldwide launch in early 2016.
