Nina Dobrev insisted that there's no bad blood between her and ex Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed, despite rumors that their hookup was the reason for her quitting "The Vampire Diaries."
In an interview with E! News, she claimed that her split from Ian Somerhalder wasn't caused by a third party or anything "bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship."
"I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now," he said.
Nina Dobrev has been the subject of nasty rumors as she was alleged to be jealous of ex Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, who were always cozy on the set, which was the reason why she left "The Vampire Diaries."
Accordingly, there was a lot of tension on the set of "The Vampire Diaries" between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, and the writers even had to change the script so they won't have too many scenes together.
She also didn't attend Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's wedding last month although reports claimed that Nina Dobrev was invited.
But Nina Dobrev told E! that she thought the Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's wedding was "beautiful."
"They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it's not with us. But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it," she said.
Nina Dobrev announced on her Instagram that she's quitting "The Vampire Diaries" after six years because she wanted to move on to other things.
