“The Young and the Restless” spoilers revealed that the upcoming episodes will finally reveal what will happen to Michael Baldwin in the daytime series. Could it be that Christian LeBlanc is leaving “Y&R?”

According to "The Young and the Restless" spoilers from Celeb Dirty Laundry, contrary to several speculations, Christian LeBlanc is not leaving the CBS soap. Many "Y&R" fans were left in a daze when it was revealed that the iconic character has prostate cancer. Some even speculated that LeBlanc's character could be killed off.

Speaking to TV Insider's Michael Logan, "Y&R" executive producer Jill Farren Phelps and head writer Chuck Pratt revealed that there was no truth to the rumors.

"But this is a type of cancer that's basically curable and everybody knows we're not going to kill off Michael, so that meant we had to wrestle with complications," he said.

It has long been rumored that fans of "Y&R" would eventually say goodbye to Michael Baldwin especially since he has been seen skipping his cancer treatments. It doesn't help that Michael has been pushing his wife away.

Some observed that this pattern is very common to cancer patients especially when they found out that they have very little chances of surviving. They held that cancer patients feel that their loved ones will feel less devastated when they do pass away once they are with someone. No wonder, he was even encouraging Lauren to be with Cane even if he is still alive!

Phelps also revealed that Michael Baldwin and Lauren Fenmore's marriage could eventually be over. He mentioned that the couple's relationship have become "boring" and the writers needed to spice it up a bit by pushing Lauren and Cane together.

"Great love stories have to fall apart. They have to be challenged."
