“Divergent” star Theo James and girlfriend Ruth Kearney are reportedly engaged. Rumor has it that she is already pregnant with their first child. However, the actor's movie producers allegedly felt that an engagement could ruin his onscreen romance with Shailene Woodley.
The Sun Times, via Media Mass, has recently reported that Theo James and Ruth Kearney was seen shopping for engagement rings. The couple was reportedly photographed visiting a few lavish stores in search for the perfect jewelry.
The publication reported that Theo and Ruth could be engaged within the year.
Sources close to the couple said that a wedding is "inevitable" given how they are both in love with each other. The engagement, however, has yet to be confirmed.
When the representative of the "Divergent" star was asked about the ongoing marriage and engagement rumors, he just answered "no comment."
While others believed that Theo James and girlfriend Ruth Kearnet are about to get married, some insiders were quick to point out that the two have in fact, broken up.
According to Venture Capitalist Post, Ruth has always been jealous of Shailene Woodley. It did not help that Theo James had recently revealed that he had a thing for "pretty legs" and caused many to speculate that he was actually referring to his "Divergent" co-star and not his girlfriend.
"Let's see... I have a thing for pretty legs," he said.
"But most importantly, I like confident women. It's probably because I grew up with four strong women - my mother, grandmother and two sisters."
The website has previously reported that the actor has long ditched his girlfriend of several years to help sell the movie. After all, Theo James and Shailene Woodley's onscreen chemistry is undeniable and fans just could not help but wish that they would eventually end up together in real life.
Theo James, however, has always remain tight lipped about his personal life.
"I don't think I'd want to share those elements of my private life," he said.
"I don't have it and I never will. Other actors I know are really good at it and they rock and roll it, but it's not for me. If I post a picture of us having a drink now and get loads of views or comments and stuff, then suddenly you're quite exposed and you're in a world of work."
