“The Hunger Games” is having its own musical set to open in summer 2016.
According to Heat World, a 1,300-seater venue near Wembley Stadium had been custom built for "The Hunger Games" musical, which includes a 360-degree rotating stage. The stage was reportedly a brainchild of Tony and Olivier Award-winning producer Robin de Levita.
"I'm thrilled to be partnering with a studio like Lionsgate on something that resonates so deeply with audiences. The theatre is a fantastic medium to bring the many meaningful layers of Suzanne Collins's writing to life," he said.
Tim Palen, Lionsgate's chief marketing officer had nothing but praises for de Levita, adding that they could not wait for the theatrical adaptation of the dystopian series.
"Robin de Levita and the entire production team are the perfect partners for extending the Hunger Games franchise into a live theatrical experience," he said.
"Their creative genius, combined with world-class production values and state-of-the-art technology will provide a uniquely immersive experience for fans around the world."
Some of the songs expected to appear in the musical are "Hanging Tree" originally sung by Jennifer Lawrence in the musical adaptation and "Deep In The Meadow."
"The Hunger Games" musical is set to premiere this 2016.
Jennifer Lawrence has always been vocal about wanting to do more "The Hunger Games" movie. She said that she is definitely going to miss the bond she shared with co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
"I'm not happy about it at all. I would totally do [more movies]. And now Liam's doing a movie in Australia for two months. It's the longest that the three of us have ever spent apart," she told Interview magazine, via RTE.
The "Hunger Games" star also shared a recent hilarious argument she had with Josh Hutcherson.
"We were just on the plane, and Josh was eating something that I don't like--salmon or something. I was eating my own snack and he kept eating my snack. I was going to share with him because I'm not an asshole, but then finally I was like, 'I can't eat your snack. So it's not fair that you're eating my snack!' Our security guard just started laughing at us. And we were like, 'It's been a lot of years!'"
