“Shahs of Sunset” star Reza Farahan finally opened up on why he decided to call off his wedding. The reality star recently ditched his fiancé and went on a solo trip to Thailand.
Speaking to E! News, Reza Farahan explained that he just was not ready to commit to Adam Neely. After a wild bachelor party, he shared that he realized that he was not at a point in his life where he's ready to get married.
"I honestly didn't feel like getting married was the right thing to do," he said. "We had unresolved issues that needed to be addressed. Otherwise, there was a good chance the old, cheating Reza would have reared his head."
Eventually, Reza Farahan revealed that "Shahs of Sunset" co-stars Asifa Mirza and Bobby Talk helped him get over his fear. He said the duo's on and off again relationship made him appreciate what he had with Adam Neely. The wedding was said to be back on.
"Honestly, being in Thailand with my crazy crew and seeing how dysfunctional Asifa and Bobby were made me realize how great my relationship with Adam is," he explained. "I'm happy to report that things are totally back on track and we're hoping to marry in the near future."
He shared that Adam even reached out to him on their wedding day to see how he was doing.
"Adam actually Skyped with me on the day we were supposed to get married, despite the pain he was in. The smile and the love than shone through made me want to go home and fix things. We started communicating a lot more and trying to make our foundation stronger."
Despite how understanding Adam may seem, it's no secret that Reza's move definitely hurt him. It's no surprise that the couple still cannot talk about the issue.
"He was so upset. You can't say Thai around him. He won't eat Thai food. He doesn't want to hear about any tigers. He's told me, 'If anyone brings up Thailand, you need to shut it down.' I bought him souvenirs and he hasn't touched any of it."
"Shahs of Sunset" airs Mondays on Bravo TV.
