Several new characters will be introduced when "Fifty Shades Darker" movie premieres in February 2017. One of which is Jack Hyde who will allegedly be played by Henry Cavill.

Online reports claimed that Henry Cavill has been tapped by producers of "Fifty Shades Darker" to play Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) boss Jack Hyde. Based on the novel, Steele turned down Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) offer to work for him and instead opted to work in a small publication house.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel will focus on Anastasia as she tries to juggle her dominant-submissive relationship with Christian while staying away from her sexually obsessed boss, Jack. In the end, Christian will buy the publication house to give Anastasia peace of mind.

It has long been revealed that the "Fifty Shades Darker" movie will be more of a thriller than a romantic comedy. Although Henry Cavill's involvement in the franchise has yet to be confirmed, many fans have already taken to Twitter to express their excitement over the casting.

According to VC Post, two other prominent names in Hollywood are being linked to join the erotic adaptation. Victoria Secret model and "Suicide Squad" star Cara Delevingne was rumored to play as Christian Grey's former submissive, Leila Williams.

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, on the other hand, was said to be taking the role of Elena Lincoln, aka Mrs. Robinson. Elena is Christian's former dominatrix and business partner.

Universal Pictures was still reportedly under negotiations with Henry Cavill, Cara Delevingne and Charlize Theron. Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will be reprising their role as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively.

Niall Leonard, husband of "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy author E.L. James will be writing the screenplay for the second installment in the franchise.

"Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits, and we are lucky to have him join Team Fifty," Micahel De Luca said.
