"Scandal" season 5 spoilers revealed that the forthcoming episodes contain several interesting twists that fans should not dare miss. Turns out, Huck could turn against the Gladiators and team up with Olivia Pope's dad, Rowan.
Speaking to TV Guide, "Scandal" star Guillermo Diaz revealed that season 5 would have several jaw-dropping moments. He revealed that his character, Huck, could eventually be written off in the ABC series. When asked if he would return in the coming episodes, he said, "I don't know. That is a Shonda [Rhimes] question!"
"A couple of weeks ago, she emailed us all and said the ending was changed," he explained. "In the original script, Quinn ends up walking away from Huck and obviously doesn't shoot him. So who knows what's gonna happen, but that's what makes 'Scanda'l so exciting."
The actor pointed out that showcreator Shonda Rhimes is not afraid of killing popular characters, like what she did with Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek Shepherd in "Grey's Anatomy."
"Shonda is not afraid to get rid of characters that are popular on the show or regulars like myself," he said.
"Now we have to wait and see. I have no idea if I'm dead or alive! We have no idea. It's been that way from the beginning. They don't give us a heads up about anything. It's exciting because it makes you just focus on your work in the moment, keep it fresh and organic."
Guillermo Diaz also mentioned that Huck could actually be thinking of ending his life.
"I think part of him is just done. I feel like he's just sick and tired of being so hurt and so broke and so confused," he said.
"The other part of him wants to be with his family, but I think part of him wants to die and he just wants Quinn to pull that trigger because it'd make it all so much easier. I don't condone suicide, but in the position he's in, I would imagine he's done and he's over it, and part of him does want to die," the actor added.
"Scandal" season 5 premieres this September on ABC. Tune in for more news, spoilers and cast updates.
