The next season of American Idol will be its last, but Mariah Carey doesn't care a bit. In fact, she dubs the single season she was a judge for the singing competition as the "worst experience" of her life.

Mariah Carey was a judge during season 12 only and there's a reason behind it. The star singer was contacted by Australia's "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" and was asked if she would engage in any sort of Idol reunion for the final year.

"Hell no! Absolutely not. That was the worst experience of my life," the "Butterfly" singer said.

According to reports on Entertainment Weekly, when she was asked how she really feel, Carey said, "I'm not going to get into what it was, but let's just say I don't think they had any intentions for us to have a good experience doing that show. "

"Pitting two females against each other wasn't cool," she said, referring to the drama between her and fellow judge Nicki Minaj.

"It should have been about the contestants instead of about some nonexistent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness. I would never want to be involved with it again. But everybody else did like it," she added.

Talking about his time working for Australian Idol, Kyle Sandilands then noted how boring it was to sit in the studio. "It's so boring and so fake, I'm sorry," Mariah Carey replied. "When I say it's fake, I mean, I have to make up things to say about everybody. Half the time, the performances are good, you'll just be like, 'It was good. Ending it there was really good."

Of course, this is not the first time the "Infinity" singer has opened up about her terrible experience with the popular American singing competition. After she came off the show back in 2013, Mariah Carey told Hot 97's Angie Martinez that "It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan," according to reports on Huffington Post.
