The reason Oh Young (Song Hye Kyo) constantly wished she would die is because she always believed that she couldn't' live. Her depressed mental state affected her attitude about life in general.

** A Shine of Light, Change in Two Characters

For the first time in her life after she lost her sight, Oh Young actually wants to live. This is when she meets her fake older brother Oh Soo (Jo In Sung). She feels warm and happy when she spends time with him. She is more surprised because the brother that she remembers from the past used to be cold and selfish.

Oh Young says, "Since you came into my life I miss you every day. But what can I do. I can't even see... I'm scared of dying. Why do you keep making me so weak like this. Why do you keep making me want to live."

Oh Young had always been cool and accepting of death as if she was determined to die. After meeting Oh Soo however, she even cries from being afraid to die. Oh Young had given up on life only because she thought she couldn't live.

Oh Young tells him that she is going to give up on everything and get married. Oh Soo replies, "There is one thing about me that is better than you. It is that at every single moment, I want to live" and seems surprised about Oh Young's attitude about death.

Even though Oh Soo's life is on the line, he does not run away. Why? Because he is deathly in love with Oh Young. Regardless of the time that is running out, he is completely focused on saving Oh Young's life.

Oh Soo is willing to die and accepts his fate even though he wants to live. Oh Young wanted to die but she is beginning to get hopeful about life again. Their fate seems to be changing. Will Oh Young be able to live? Will Oh Soo die?

This drama is drawing attention for the unique story line that contains love, drama, as well as life lessons. Oh Young and Oh Soo's will to live is bringing a wave of warm air through the cold winter.
