Nina Dobrev is reportedly not happy that "The Vampire Diaries" has been renewed for a seventh season. Several reports claimed that Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend is not thrilled when she found out that the studio is picking up the series anew without her.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev is furious when she found out that "The Vampire Diaries" has been picked up for season 7. Rumor has it that she thought that the series would be cancelled following her departure. The actress claimed that she left the show to focus on her career, however, the website claimed that the real reason was because she was still not over Ian Somerhalder.

When Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed got married, Nina tried her hardest to show the world that there was no bad blood between the two of them. Insiders close to the former couple, however, insisted that the actress could not bear seeing her ex-boyfriend with her best friend, which was why she decided to leave the show.

It was said that Nina Dobrev thought that her departure from "The Vampire Diaries" would lead to its cancellation. However, based on season 7 spoilers, it seems like the series is here to stay.

"Nina's departure seems to have breathed new life into the primetime drama, and her character's exit opened up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to storylines," the website reported.

It was further reported that fans of the series had already forgotten about her character, Elena Gilbert. It also did not help that her movie career is not picking up, causing her too be "depressed." Several reports indicated that Nina Dobrev is currently suffering from depression.

"A source recently said that Nina is having a hard time after realizing that there are way more actresses in Hollywood than there are movie roles," the source added.
