According to a report from Nielsen Korea, the June 5 episode of "Producer" recorded 11.7 percent in nationwide viewership, a drop from its previous record of 13.5. While the ratings may have dropped, the series continued to top programming in its time slot.

"Producer" placed a greater emphasis the storyline involving the private life of Cindy (IU). In episode 7, Cindy turns towards Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) and Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin) for support. They are initially reluctant but are convinced to help her. She slowly reveals details of her tragic past and draws closer to Seung Chan.

By the conclusion of the episode, she is prepared to confess her feelings to the producer. Seung Chan, Cindy and Ra Joon Mo (Cha Tae Hyun) take a trip to an amusement park, which holds the key to painful memories for the 23-year-old K-pop idol. The episode ended on a high-note for fans of the Umbrella Couple, after Cindy kissed Seung Chan.

SBS' "Law of the Jungle" placed second with 11.8 percent of viewers. The variety program continues to film on the Yap Islands with a dynamic cast including M.I.B's Kangnam, Jinwoon, and SISTAR's Dasom. The MBC program, "Three Wheels" recorded 4.5 percent of nationwide viewers.

"Three Meals a Day" continues to maintain its popularity. The June 5 episode recorded the highest ratings of Season 2, with 9.1 percent of viewers tuning in to see Ji Sung, in his guest appearance. Ji conjured up his "Kill Me, Heal Me" personalities for the appearance, shocking 2PM's Taecyeon with his portrayal of Yo Na, the teenage fan girl.
