"Modern Family" season 7 spoilers revealed that fans of Haley and Andy will finally get the answer to the "Will they or won't they?" question. The season 6 finale ended with Haley finally admitting her feelings towards Andy, however, it seems like she's bit too late as he is ready to propose to Beth.
Speaking to Variety, the cast of "Modern Family" season 7 shared what fans can expect in season 7.
"I feel very good about what we did this season. I like the fact that we tried new things, and we didn't want to rest on our laurels," show creator Steven Levitan said.
The cast are also proud of the season 6 finale, "American Skyper" as they believed that they have brought a different way of storytelling, much like the inventive episode "Connection Lost."
"It's tough to keep things fresh, and for some reason the show felt revived in a way. That implies that it was down, and it didn't really feel like it was down, but it just felt more alive this year," Ty Burrell said.
Meanwhile, on the Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Andy (Adam Devine) romance, co-creator Christopher Lloyd revealed that they were not really expecting the chemistry to happen between the two.
"We had it in mind like maybe there would be a funny male nanny character for Jay and Gloria," he shared.
"Maybe a male, potentially a love interest for Haley. What would make that dynamic interesting? What about a guy that's just good, just so uncynical and guileless that Haley can't even understand him to be a human being?"
Julie Bowen (Claire) shared that even her family is rooting for Andy and Haley to get together.
"My own in-laws are in love with that relationship. They're like, 'Are Andy and Haley going to get together?'" she said.
