On June 6, the eighth episode of "Producer" presented the escalated love lines between Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun), Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin), and Cindy (IU). Their triangle is further complicated by the lifelong friendship between Ye Jin and Ra Joon Mo (Cha Tae Hyun). As the romance converges, ratings for the drama increased by 1.7 percent, yielding the second highest viewership for the series.

The complex love lines within "Producer" have received mixed reactions from viewers. "Producer" is reaching the conclusion of its 12 episode run, but the series has yet to neatly wrap up its the relationships of central characters.

Each interaction in the docu-drama differs in its intensity. Seung Chan maintains a crush on Ye Jin, but she does not appear to be as interested in him. The same dynamic is present between Seung Chan and Cindy. This could be an unrequited crush, which viewers will discover at the launch of episode 9.

Episode 8 opened with an impromptu kiss involving Cindy and Seung Chan. Throughout the episode, Seung Chan ignored her phone calls while gradually building a stronger bond with Ye Jin. However, he was faced with the difficult decision.
