SBS drama "Yawang" is drawing attention for its main character Joo Da Hae played by actress Soo Ae. She is referred to as the most evil female villain in the history of Korean dramas. When her enemy Ha Ryoo (Kwon Sang Woo) plans one thing, Joo Da Hae is ahead of him by planning two. Will there be any new female villains that could catch up to the evil doings of Joo Da Hae in the future?
So far, Joo Da Hae caused the death of three people in "Yawang" and is still willing to take any measures to achieve her dream of becoming a first lady. The first person she killed is her stepfather who sexually abused her. Even until then, she could be considered as an innocent victim. Later however, Joo Da Hae kills Ha Ryoo's older twin brother Cha Jae Woong. Even though she didn't kill him with her own hands, she had ordered her brother. Also, the man who was head-over-heels in love with her died because of the explosives she planted in a car.
Although she is not directly responsible for her daughter, Eun Byul's death, it is her fault that she was hit by a truck. The lives of these people were cut short all because of Joo Da Hae selfish desires to get ahead.
Viewers are calling her a femme fatale who is the most evil of them all. Ha Ryoo takes the blame for the death of her stepfather and goes to prison for her. Ha Ryoo then sacrifices everything in order to send her to study abroad while taking care of their daughter. Regardless of everything he does, Joo Da Hae leaves him for greater and better things. She then uses Baek Do Hoon (Jung Yun Ho), an heir of the Baek Group, and moves up in social class after marrying him. When Baek Do Hoon dies, she moves on to Suk Tae Il, who is planning an ambitious future for them.
With a beauty that makes her look like an angel, Soo Ae was successfully portray her villainous character in "Yawang". Soo Ae uses her elegant image and her calm voice during her perfect portrayal of Joo Da Hae. Viewers were more shocked from her evil acts because of her angelic image.
During the drama, Joo Da Hae does not lose sight of her goal and keeps moving ahead regardless of all the interruptions by Ha Ryoo, who is doing everything he can to take revenge for his life that she ruined.
Joo Da Hae set a new record for femme fatale villain in Korean dramas and we wonder whether any characters in the future could be any more worse than she is.
