On July 1, MBC released the second thrilling teaser for the upcoming supernatural period series, "Scholar Who Walks the Night."

The video highlights the beaming personality of Lee Yoo Bi as Jo Yang Sun, a nobleman who falls from grace when her father is wrongfully named a traitor.

Lee Yoo Bi has increased her profile since her debut in the 2011 contemporary supernatural drama, "Vampire Idol," which starred Kim Woo Bin and Lee Soo Hyuk. Her comedic portrayal of intrepid reporter Yoon Yoo Rae in "Pinocchio" paired with her hilarious turn as Yunho's little sister in "Twenty," set the precedent for her role in "Scholar Who Walks the Night."

Lee Joong Gi is Kim Sung Yeol, a vampire nobleman, in his first role since the period drama, "Joseon Gunman." In the teasers released by MBC, he is depicted in a deep romance with Kim So Eun, who portrays Hye Ryeong. While they possess a timeless love, he is attracted to Yang Sun.

TVXQ's Changmin is handsome as Crown Prince Lee Yoon. His inclusion in "Scholar Who Walks the Night" marks his K-Drama return, following his role in the 2014 Mnet series, "Mimi."

Lee Soo Hyuk embraces the role of a supernatural bloodsucker from a different approach than his turn as Soo Hyuk in the sitcom, "Vampire Idol." The first teaser depicts his character, Gwi, as a terrifying vampire who draws more inspiration from Dracula than Edward Cullen.

"Scholar Who Walks the Night" premieres on July 8, in the Wednesday-Thursday time slot previously occupied by "Warm and Cozy."
