Audiences who continued to watch "Warm and Cozy" until the finale were rewarded with a steamy, romantic kiss scene between stars Yoo Yeon Seok and Kang So Ra. According to the July 3 report from Nielsen Korea, the finale off "Warm and Cozy" recorded 7.6 percent of nationwide viewership.
On July 2, the series concluded with a happy ending, as Baek Gun Woo (Yoo Yeon Seok) confessed his true feelings to Lee Jung Joo (Kang So Ra). His revelation turned their lukewarm friendship into a budding romance.
The kiss occurred during the mid-way point of the episode, as Jung Joo implored Gun Woo to take her out on a date. He initiated the kiss, in order to demonstrate his love and affection.
Jung Joo experienced trepidation about their future, after Mok Ji Won (Seo Yi An) informed her that he was next in line to inherit his uncle's distribution company.
However, Gun Woo made a concerted effort to pursue Jung Joo and proved that he was no longer willing to flee from Jeju Island.
The truth about the car accident involving Gun Woo's father and the deceased husband of Kim Hae Sil (Kim Hee Jung) was revealed. After a period of contemplation, she agreed to depart from Jeju with her hotelier husband, Song Jung Geun (Lee Sung Jae).
"Warm and Cozy" provided insight into the strength of the human spirit, along with captivating scenes of Jeju Island. Kang So Ra and Yoo Yeon Seok exuded strong chemistry, but the series starkly contrasted with "Master's Sun," the previous Hong Sisters' drama. While "Master's Sun" ignited viewers, "Warm and Cozy" left audiences with comfortable but memorable feelings.
