Paul Walker's brother Cody was first known as Paul's body double in "Furious 7," when the shooting for the movie resumed after the actor's tragic death in a car crash.
Now, Cody just landed his first starring role. According to Variety, Paul Walker's brother will be starring alongside Nicolas Cage in the World War II movie "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage." The film will be directed by Mario Van Peebles.
"USS Indianapolis" is about the story of the World War II ship that was torpedoed in the summer of 1945.
"About 300 men -- of about 1,200 crewmen -- died in the attack, and another 600 perished after the ship went down. Just 317 survived," CNN reported.
"The real life event is the subject of a famous speech in the movie 'Jaws,' whose Capt. Quint is supposed to be a survivor. Cody Walker plays a crewman. Cage plays the ship's captain, Charles Butler McVay."
Cody Walker's new film project may not come as a surprise to those who have been following news about him. After all, he enjoyed his time at the set of "Furious 7" and said he believes Paul Walker would have been happy to see his work.
"I wasn't nervous to see it. I was more anxious to see how it turned out," Paul Walker's brother told Time. "It's bittersweet, but I think Paul would be proud."
"I've known them for the last 15 years, but not at this level," Cody reportedly said about the film's longtime cast and crew. "I've just tripled my family in the last year. It does feel like family. I'm so happy with it. It was just so tastefully done and a great ending after everything."
The Nicolas Cage film featuring Paul Walker's brother is scheduled to be released over the 2016 Memorial Day weekend, according to Daily Mail.
