Veteran actress Taraji P. Henson is reportedly becoming quite a diva because of the success of "Empire."
Last month, rumors were swirling around that the actress threatened to walk out after the pilot season if the producers won't fork more money.
"Apparently, after the entire cast renegotiated their contracts, Cookie realized that some other actors were making almost as much as she was and she was livid," alleged Celebrity Dirty Laundry. "She went back to the producers and demanded more money because she felt that she had basically carried Empire and was the reason behind the drama's success."
The article went on to add that either Taraji P. Henson's demands for more money were met, or she the threat was hollow, what was clear was that the actress didn't quit "Empire."
An article from Naughty Gossip claimed that Taraji P. Henson has become quite difficult on the set of "Empire."
"She can be bossy, rude and extremely controlling .... She's a nightmare!" the source claimed.
In her speech, Taraji Henson said, "Thank you Fox you're bold, you took a shot, you take a risk.
"Some people say I'm new to the game, that means I could be 20 again... This means I'm touching lives, that's why i got into acting."
"We created such an incredible family on 'Empire', there's no Cookie without Lucious. I fought for you, you owe me five percent of your money."
She also joked of Cookie Lyons, "I just have to play the truth hopefully they love her for beating her son with a broom."
In an interview with W magazine, Taraji P. Henson talked about "Empire's" Cookie being a diva and a role model.
"When I hear that Cookie is a bad representation of black women, I don't get involved. Maybe Cookie makes you uncomfortable because she reminds you of yourself. People miss the bigger picture when they start judging," she said.
