Kate Middleton has been known for her regal and simple fashion style. Garments worn by the Duchess rake in sales within hours after Prince William's wife is seen sporting them.

Though Kate Middleton's fashion sense is perceived as somewhat more conservative than that of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana's bold and adventurous fashion choices, the Duchess' wardrobe has been revered and copied by many fans from around the world.

However, one member of the royal family is allegedly not a fan of one of Kate Middleton's fashion choices - no less than Queen Elizabeth.

According to a report, Queen Elizabeth has a problem with Kate Middleton's choice of footwear sometimes; particularly when she chooses to wear shoes with wedged heels.

"The Queen isn't a fan of wedged shoes," a source reportedly told Vanity Fair. "She really doesn't like them and it's well known among the women in the family."

"Certainly Kate's never been photographed in wedges in Her Majesty's company," Vanity Fair noted.

Staying away from wedged shoes may not seem too big a request, especially if the request comes from the Queen of England.

Aside from avoiding a particular style of footwear, there's another thing that the Queen purportedly "requests" from Kate Middleton, and that is limiting her travels now that she's a mother of two royal children.

"The queen is getting fed up with [her] traveling so much," an insider reportedly told Life & Style.

"Her last official visit abroad is likely to be at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta. After that, she expects Kate to fly the royal flag, and there will be plenty of duties to keep her busy."

According to the report, Queen Elizabeth only wants Duchess Catherine to limit her official visits abroad. Kate's attendance in official events inside the United Kingdom will purportedly not be affected.
