Jennifer Lawrence's big paycheck will bode well for the other women in Hollywood as Chris Martin's girlfriend said that she's open to reprising her role as Mystique in "X-Men" sequels.
According to Upworthy, women are being paid 22 centavos less to a dollar compared to their male counterparts in Hollywood.
"Forbes crunched the numbers back in 2013 after its annual lists of highest paid actors and actresses were released," it said. "While it's not particularly surprising that the men out-earned the women (which is sad in and of itself), it is surprising to learn by how much: The men earned nearly 2.5 times more than the women."
Even with the successes of "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Hunger Games," Chris Martin's girlfriend is still being paid about 23% less than her leading men.
But now, it's payback time.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" star Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in "Passengers," billed as a sci-fi romantic drama, alongside rising star Chris Pratt.
"The film's massive budget will reportedly include $20 million for Lawrence and $12 million for Pratt. Yep, you read that correctly: Lawrence - a woman! - will be making $8 million more than Pratt - a man! - on the film," it said.
Meanwhile, Chris Martin's girlfriend said that she's open to doing more "X-Men" films.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she was asked if she's considering to play the enigmatic Mystique once again.
"I love working with Bryan, and I love these movies," she said. "There is hope. I don't want to not be asked."
She also talked about the makeup for Mystique and how she didn't care about inhaling fumes and toxins back when she signed on for "X-Men: First Class" when she was just 20 years old.
"Now I'm almost 25 and I'm like, 'I can't even pronounce this and that's going in my nose? I'm breathing that?'" she quipped.
