The tvN drama, "Oh My Ghost" continues to present an innovative take on the often overplayed genre of supernatural romance. On July 25, the series aired its eighth episode, which featured a team building outing and the willingness of Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) to accept possession by the virgin ghost, Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi).

"Oh My Ghost" brilliantly fluctuates between the macabre underworld of the dead and the vibrant setting of Sun Restaurant, a high-end establishment that houses misfits who are trained in the culinary arts.

The Friday-Saturday drama combines bawdy jokes with a nuanced perspective on death and dying. However, viewers who are seeking believable romance will enjoy the dynamic between Bong Sun and Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk).

If you have to watch the series, here are five reasons to watch "Oh My Ghost."

1. Jo Jung Suk may be dating Gummy, in real-life, but he has steamy on-screen chemistry with Park Bo Young.

Park Bo Young and Jo Jung Suk shared a hot kiss during episode eight that defied the convention of K-Drama smooches. Their on-screen dynamic can only get better.

2. Kim Seul Gi and Park Bo Young share tender and hilarious moments.

The actresses compliment one another. The scenes where Soon Ae inhabits the body of Bong Sun are some of the strongest in the series, as Park Bo Young evokes the vocal quirks of Kim Seul Gi.

3. "Oh My Ghost" follows in the creepy tradition of dramas like "Master's Sun."

The tvN series incorporates children who can see ghosts and eery lurkers who are obviously responsible for the deaths of those around them.

4. When she is possessed, Bong Sun is clearly tempted by her male co-workers.

5. The series presents a balanced perspective on the possibility of an after-life.

"Oh My Ghost" is thought-provoking, as the series challenges viewers to consider the possibility that there is life after death.
