Mariah Carey’s sister Alison is reportedly locked up in a psychiatric ward against her will. After suffering from a sever head injury caused by a “mysterious home attack” three months back, the 54-year-old was sent to the New York facility.
"I need a lawyer to get me out of this hospital because there is no reason to keep me in here for three months," Alison told Radar Online.
The alleged heroin addict reached out to the publication hoping that they could contact her sister to get her out of the facility. Alison complained about the care she received from the hospital, saying that the staff "restrained her, and injured her rib cage in the process." She added that they would "beat the living sh*t out of her" every night.
Alison asked the media outlet to help her get in touch with sister Mariah. She reportedly begged to get out of the psychiatric ward, adding that they had no right to detain her.
"Please tell Mariah to get me out of here! She must know what's happened to me! I want out!"
Alison was reportedly sent to the psychiatric ward three months after her home was robbed. In her report, she claimed that an unidentified man stole jewelry from her apartment. She also shared that she woke up with a "three-inch gash in the back of her head and a busted mouth."
"I don't remember getting in a car with this person, and I don't remember going to my house. But I remember being at my house and he was taking my jewelry," she recalled.
This is not the first time that Alison sought Mariah Carey's help. Early this year, she asked the former "American Idol" for support to help raise her children.
"Decisions I've made in my life have hurt my children. We don't have enough food. I haven't been able to pay the rent this month," she told Star magazine, via In Touch.
"I can't buy my daughter, who's on her school's honors list, the clothes she needs - not wants, needs."
