Bobby Brown is racked with guilt following the funeral of Bobbi Kristina, his daughter with Whitney Houston, over the weekend.
According to a close friend who talked to Daily Mail that the guilt over what happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown is eating the singer up everyday.
"He told me he should have insisted Krissy get help for her drug addiction and he should have forced Nick Gordon to move out of her townhouse and leave her alone - legally, if necessary,'" the friend said.
"Bobby says he was her father no matter what age she was and he should have fought her or anyone else who stopped her from saving her from herself."
Bobby Brown also felt the guilt of raising Bobbi Kristina Brown in a household filled with drugs and domestic abuse which could have contributed to the alleged troubled life of her daughter that ended her in a funeral casket.
Nick Gordon is being sued in a civil court for millions of dollars over accusations of domestic abuse and theft.
"Bobby told me 'I should have gone to court to get a judge to make Bobbi Kristina go to rehab and then become her guardian - like Britney Spears' father did to save her,'" the pal said.
Pat Houston was the appointed guardian of Bobbi Kristina Brown prior to her death.
The singer and wife Alicia Etheridge welcomed their baby girl, Bodhi, on July 9.
"Bobby was happy that the baby was born healthy but he was torn - his heart was broken and he didn't know what to do," the pal added.
"Now that Krissy is gone and laid to rest next to her mother Bobby is focused on his wife because she is very sick with severe diabetes and she could die too."
In fact, Bobby Brown missed Bobbi Kristina's funeral because of his wife's condition.
"While a few Brown family members were also present, Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, was not there, presumably to be by the side of his wife, who was rushed to the hospital following Saturday's funeral in Atlanta," reported Entertainment Tonight.
