Vogue cover page lady Gigi Hadid revealed in a recent interview that she was asked to lose weight by many agencies in New York when she began her modelling career as she wasn't slim enough to fit the fashion world.

Hadid told Daily Mail that her athletic past is responsible for her huge thighs. Hadid was an ardent volley ball player back in her childhood and was one of the players qualified for junior Olympics to represent America. She also added that her thigh were huge and tough as a rock.

Supermodel who graced the runways of Guess, Tom Ford and Moschino as well as Vogue cover page said that "Growing up I was really athletic and I had a very athletic body." She added, "I had like crazy muscles and I [ate] like a man - more than the man that I eat like now, like a bigger man - and it was crazy but at the time I didn't care what my body looked like, I just wanted to be the best volleyball player I could be so it didn't really matter to me."

Hadid who admitted to have munched on many burgers a week noted that "When I first went to visit different agencies in New York, a lot of them were like; you have to lose a lot of weight." She added that "I would cry at night and my mom [Yolanda Foster] would be like, "We're going to find the [right] people," according to Hollywood Life.

The 20-year old who worked diligently on her looks signed IMG Models and skyrocketed rapidly in her career to become one of the most sought models. The Guess ambassador and prestigeous W and Vogue cover page model said that when she started her modelling career she felt quite odd about her thighs but she never wanted to be a model that looks too thin. She added that she was always determined to be a healthy role model.
