Gwen Stefani Offers Gavin Rossdale Deal To Stop Him From Getting Half Of $120 Million Assets; Upset For Not Getting Prenup

Gwen Stefani offered estranged husband Gavin Rossdale a payoff to avoid splitting her $120 million fortune in half. Since the couple did not have a prenup, Gavin is entitled to half of Gwen's assets which is reportedly over $80 million.

"It's significantly more, around $120 million. A significant portion of the earnings comes from Gwen's clothing lines, being a judge on 'The Voice,' and of course her music career makes up the rest," an insider told Radar Online.

The "Hollaback Girl" singer is now doing everything she can to avoid giving Gavin half of her hard-earned money.

"Gwen has really struggled with the idea of just handing over half of her hard-earned money to Gavin, and there is a lot of anger there. Gwen is hoping to just pay Gavin off because she doesn't want to pay him any type of support. Gwen's approach is that she should get to keep what is hers," the insider added.

"Gwen is absolutely devastated about the marriage ending, and she has been inconsolable. But she had no other choice. She was very suspicious that Gavin was involved with the nanny," the publication said.

The publication reported that Gavin's net worth may only be $20 million, but his lawyers will try to push the singer to give them more.

"His lawyer, Laura Wasser is going to go after as much money she can get out of Gwen. It has gotten very contentious, very fast between the two."

During their engagement, Gwen's lawyers reportedly warned her that this could happen should they decide to end their relationship. They claim that the singer should think twice before getting married without a prenuptial agreement. Gwen, however, thought that it could only ruin their marriage if she asked for it.

"Before Gwen and Gavin got married, her business advisers recommended they get a prenup. But Gwen balked and didn't think it was necessary because this was going to be her forever," the source said.
